Quincy's Refuge
Our Quincy
Quincy was a rescue horse from the kill pens. He was a sorrel Quarter Horse gelding, now deceased. Our ranch and non-profit is named after him. He came broken down from being ridden too hard and not cared for properly. His spirit was broken. He wanted to work but his knee was painful. He went from being depressed, nose in the corner all the time to being my best friend. It was hard when he passed away. "Our barn was a refuge for him and for me." - Ronda Robey
Our Director - Ronda Robey
As a licensed social worker and funeral director, Ronda Robey has an immense interest in helping others. In addition, she loves horses, getting her first horse at the age of eight. Twenty years ago, she combined the 2 interests and began rescuing horses in need with the help of her daughter, Rosa Werner. They felt a calling to work in the Lord's ministry using horses to help people who were facing challenges.
